Welcome to Peter Pan Nursery and Forest School a place where outdoors is key to every child's learning and we make the most of our woodland environment.
"Mathematics teaching is exceptionally strong. Children count and recognise numbers, shapes and measures extremely well. "
"Children's behaviour throughout is exemplary and this is praised and encouraged by the staff team. "
Our policy at the Peter Pan Nursery is to provide learning through play in a caring and stimulating environment. We aim to provide equal opportunities for all, adults and children alike, not discriminating against gender, race or ability. To allow each individual to develop at their own pace with kindness, encouragement and praise.
At Peter Pan, as with most other nurseries and preschools catering for children under five, we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum
Young children learn most effectively through play, exploration and investigation and at Peter Pan we foster children's natural excitement and interest in the world around them through innovative and stimulating activities alongside those that are more familiar. Children are encouraged to become independent both in self-care and their choice of activities and staff are skilled at assessing where the children are in their learning and development and supporting their next steps on their learning journey. Much of the children's learning will take place outdoors in the large and well equipped woodland garden
"Children attending this setting have excellent quality experiences to extend their creative thinking. The staff provide many activities to encourage children to give a task a go and to become involved and engaged. This encourages the children to be motivated to learn even further. " Ofsted 2020
